Updates

Hallo my friend

How are you doing?
How is your life going?

I must say that I am doing okay and God is doing great things in my life.
I would like to share a bit of what has been happening and is going to happen in this near future.
I finish my Disciples Training which I had started at the beginning of this Year in Uganda . I graduated on July 2011. During this time I have been learning a lot. God was revealing Himself to me more every day. I did my outreach here in northern Uganda and the second part on the West. With the team of 12 people, we were ministering to different kids, Orphans, Youth and also small babies.
God was so good to us. During that time we were also visiting prisons, hospitals. We tried our best to reach as many as we could. We didn't put anyone in the box, we were available to everyone and many people came to Christ. Among those ones were many Muslims.

What is happening now in my life is what I never expected. During this time, I met Henry. He is one of the staff in YWAM (Youth with A Missions) in Jinja Uganda. He was there where I was doing my Disciples Training. We were good friends and without any expectations at the end of the school we became more than friends, we showed the interest in each other.
It became serious. We prayed about that and God confirmed this many times that it is His will for us to be together.
I cancelled my plans of going to Tanzania and now we are planing to get married. The weeding is going to happen on 5th of November 2011.

“We can do our own plans but God has the last word to say” Prov. 16.1

Because of financial shortage we are planing to have a simple wedding and ceremony. Thank God we have a place to hold it without any payments. But still we have the need to get our wedding garments, rings, decorations, cake ingredients, meals and drinks.
Both our families are not much supportive. However, we just trust God to provide and make this happen.

'' I depend alone on God, I put my hope in Him” Ps.62;5

We believe what God himself has begun He himself will finish, even if for human being it could be impossible but with God all things are possible.

After the wedding we are planing to visit each others families, friends and home countries. Then continue with studying with YWAM and serving the Lord.

Please keep us in your prayers, stand with us in this challenging time so that God will intervene and provide for all our needs.

Thank you in advance for our prayers and support.
Ps. If you would like to contribute please let us know so will give you the details
May God bless you

Continue with the schools

Today Monday. Normally we are off on Mondays, but Today we are busy with the ministry,
At the morning we could catch some rest but on the afternoon visiting one of the schools. It's always good and important to get as many opportunities as we can and go out to share the Word of God with many as we can.
And I am sure the seeds will stay in those young souls.
...

Today we talked to the kids, played the skits, also played the games with them. It was much fun. Kids loved.

The last day in Church

The last Sunday we are spending here in Mitiana. This morning church, mostly people are over tired and waiting for a day to go back.
It has been a long time.
As usually service takes time and we ended after 2pm. Our stomachs were ready for lunch. Nice food Today but the most important they prepared cha-patties. I love them so much. I think it can be one of the reasons to stay in Africa :)

...
After lunch heavy rain, but it didn't scared me to go out to town to get some chocolate.

Door to door

It is the first time we started "door to door" in Mitiana.
At the beginning we were not happy atoll with that, people didn't seem to be nice here like those from Arua.
Some of us stayed at home that day. I think they were a bit scared to go out and talk.
I wasn't much excited also but I found myself getting ready for this kind of ministry.
I am glad I went(...)it was fruitful day. People were confessing, even Muslims came to Christ.

I chose you and appoint you to go and bear much fruit, the kind of fruits that endures" John 15;16

One girl said "I don't want a small Bible, I need a big bible so everyone will see I am a Christian, not Muslim any more". Isn't amazing? God is really a wonderful Father, He cares for each one individual, no matter you are Muslim, Atheist or whatever else. He is there for you any time. It is you to open the door and welcome Him in.

Day off

Mondays normally we are having time off.
Today I was hoping to have a long sleep, but because of our roster who is hosting with us in the same house I got up early.
I decided to do my washing...Always Monday is a day where everyone tried to do his/her laundry.
When you wait for a bit you might end it without doing anything. The space to hang clothes is small and there is a lot people who need to wash their staff.
Sometimes you have to decide if you want to have a long sleep or you want to do your laundry. But if you miss it you might find yourself few days later that You don't have anything to wear.
Good enough we are sharing some clothes. :)

Preacher of the day

Early morning church.
We have been divided in a small groups and sent to different churches where we ministered.
The church where I went it wasn't big. People mostly didn't speak English. When I reached there the people welcomed me nicely with a big smile and a big hug.
I was the one who was preaching Today. At the beginning I was a bit scared that I will get stock in the middle of my speech. But after few minutes I felt much more confident and the words were just flowing out from me.
Later on when the service ended few people came over and thank me for the word I brought. I felt so special, that God used me this morning and touched some people.
The church took hours, after we got invited for a simple lunch. I felt bored there as I didn't understand any word people were speaking.
Now we had to rush and get ready for the crusade.
It was not much time left, so we had to run straight there without much of preparing ourselves.
And again...me was preaching there. I was waiting for this moment for some time and now there we are- it was my time.
I wasn't scared atoll this time, the words were just flowing out. Before I never expected to do that but now I found myself standing in front of the congregation and talking with the confidence.

God is good.

Everything is possible for the person who has faith. Mark9; 23

This time many young kids confessed Christ. Praise God for His work.

Thief s

Today was a night.
In the whole area wasn't secured last night, the people were screaming, alarming one another.
The power was off, it was so dark and it was hardly to see anyone.
The local Thief s tried to enter the house we slept in. Thanks God for his protection.
...
Some houses wasn't lucky, heard some people lost their staff.
Now what to do?No leaders...they both on the workshop in Tanzania, decision is ours.
Quick meeting and decision...
We are staying.
It would be easiest to pack bags and go back to Jinja but is that really what we suppose to do? We are not scared...God is our protector.

I will fear none, The Lord protects me from all danger. Psalm 27;1

Sick

I am not feeling well Today, had to stay at home. I am not sure what it is but I know there is no malaria. I have been taking antimalarial piles for last few months.
...
I feel like I am dry and not able to do anything more. Few more people are sick. Some got malaria, some are very weak. I heard there is a lot of witch craft in this area so that could be the cause.
It's not a joke, we have to get ready and pray against spiritual's attacks.

Be alert, be on the watch!Your enemy the Devil, roams round like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour" 1Peter 5;8

We didn't come here to lay down but to do important work.
Some people who are feeling well, preparing themselves and getting ready for the crusade.

Mitiana

The travel was tiring. After reaching Kampala we had to wait 4 hours for the transport to take us to Mitiana. People were grumpy and exhausted after a long travel from Arua. All night on the bus and now we have to wait ...for what I wonder?.
And adding to all of this...we were very squeezed all the way to Mitiana. I guess we had definitely to much staff. It was hardly to fit all the team.
The road was terrible, bumpy, a lot wholes in, my stomach was still hurting some how.
But we made it. I don't even know how? Anyway Thanks God for bringing us safely.
Now everyone is just looking for a place to lay down, none is bother with unpacking. We are all exhausted.
...
The place is much bigger then in Arua, we even got 2 beds in girls room, which we have to share. Some of us need to sleep on the floor, but good we brought sleeping bags etc.Today none is fighting for the place, everyone is taking what is available...

Goat's meat

Last night took a little piece of goat's meat. I don't even know why, it is not like me. I am normally very careful what I eat, if I don't know something I don't take. And secondly I don't eat meat very much.
Next day early morning I woke up with a much pain in my stomach. I don't remember to have a such pain in my entire life.
The piles I took didn't work and the pain was improving much more. I couldn't lay down, every movement made me to feel worse. I was hardly walking.
I was very scared, didn't know what could be that to cause all this.
The leaders took me to the hospital, the pain was still improving, nothing was helping me.Doctor did scan and didn't find anything.
People were praying for me, and the prayer worked. After few hours the pain has gone. I was very week but good enough not in pain any more.
After questioning me Doctor found out the cause. Surprisingly it was the goat's meat. The little tiny piece I took night before was the cause of all the suffering I went through. Imagine? From now on no more goat's meat, and now I have to be very careful what I put in to my mouth.
